Communion Offerings

Methodist Children’s Home
For the month of October, our communion offering is designated for the Methodist
Children’s Home. Founded in 1896, the home has cared for over 11,000 children.
Methodist Children’s Home seeks to bring restoration to children and youth who have
been neglected or abused. By the end of their time there, it is hoped that they find
reconciliation with their biological families, love within an adoptive family or success as a
productive, independent individual. There are multiple homes across the state, with the
primary campus in Jackson.
October is the month we gather donations for the Christmas outreach program to
custody inmates at Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl. In 2020 your gifts
of the following items as well as your monetary gifts enabled our church to deliver
Christmas gifts for inmates.

Donations requested are:
Clear (see through) deodorant
Clear (see through) shampoo
White athletic crew socks
Hard candy
Please place any of those items in the box in the sub-story during the month of
October. If you prefer to give a monetary donation, we will be happy to shop for you.
Please make your checks payable to the church and mark as Christmas Prison
Ministry. Our Youth will assist us in this ministry again this year.
Deadline for your gifts is Sunday, October 31. Thank you for helping make this a
blessed success in His name.
Grace Episcopal Church partnered with the Mississippi Food Network to provide food to the neediest
among us. Grace Food Pantry is open from 10:00am-1:00pm on the third Thursday of each month at Grace.
They have a specific need for peanut butter and canned tuna fish.  If you would like to provide
nonperishable food items to the pantry, please place your donations in the baskets located in the sub-story.
